Add a PDF Menu to Google Business Profile
How to add a menu link to your Google Business Profile, who can use it, and how a replaceable PDF link keeps the menu current.
Quick answer: in your Business Profile, go to Edit profile, then Contact, then Menu link, paste your menu URL and save. Google says the feature is available to food and drink businesses. Use a link you can update, such as a SharePDF link, so the profile never points to an old menu.
Steps (checked November 2026)
According to Google's Business Profile Help:
- Sign in to your Business Profile.
- Select Edit profile, then Business information, then Contact, then Menu link. On desktop Search the path is Edit profile, then Contact, then Menu link.
- Enter the web address of your menu.
- Select Save.
Menu names and paths can change, so follow what you see on screen.
Who can use it
Google's page says the menu feature is for food and drink businesses. It does not list exact categories. It also warns that if your menu comes from the Business Profile API, you may not have this feature in Business Profile or Google Search. If you do not see Menu link, check your business category and ask Google support.
Menu link or menu editor
| Option | What it does | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Menu link | Sends people to your menu URL | A PDF or web page you maintain |
| Menu editor | Lists dishes and prices inside the profile | Typing items directly |
| Photos of menu | Upload photos or a PDF | Quick start |
Google's page says menu text from photos is experimental and the full menu must fit on one page and one photo. A link avoids that limit.
Why use a replaceable PDF link
Prices change. If you paste a link to a file that you replace, the profile stays right with no edits.
- Upload the menu to SharePDF and set an unlisted link.
- Paste that link into Menu link.
- When the menu changes, replace the PDF. The link stays the same.
Use the same link for your QR code. See QR code menus and update a menu without reprinting the QR code.
Checklist
- The menu opens on a phone without sign-in.
- Text is large and readable.
- Prices and hours match what is in the restaurant.
- You tested the link from your profile after saving.

A worked example
Ben has a taqueria with a PDF menu on SharePDF.
- He opens his Business Profile and goes to Edit profile, then Contact, then Menu link.
- He pastes
https://sharepdf.link/s/ben-tacos-menu-{id}.pdf, with the real id in place, and saves. - He searches for his business and checks that a Menu link appears.
- Next month he replaces the PDF in SharePDF. He does not need to touch his Business Profile.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| No Menu link field | Your category may not support it. Google says the feature is for food and drink businesses |
| Profile uses API-provided menu | Google warns you may not have this feature in Business Profile or Google Search |
| Link goes to a login page | Use an unlisted PDF link that opens without sign-in |
| Old menu still shows | Reload and wait. Google notes changes to the menu editor can take 24 to 48 hours |
| Link does not work on phones | Test it on mobile data |
Menu photos
Google's page also lets you upload photos of your menu or a PDF in the menu editor and says its tool can generate a menu from a photo. It describes that as experimental, and says the full menu must fit on one page and one photo. If your menu is longer, use the link instead.
Keep it consistent
Use the same link on your site, Instagram, and QR code. See QR code menu, update a menu without reprinting the QR code and menu QR code size and placement.
