1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SharePDF ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. Your continued use of SharePDF constitutes acceptance of any updates to these terms.

2. Description of Service

SharePDF is a PDF sharing service. When you upload a PDF, it is automatically assigned a unique shareable URL. Anyone with this URL can view the document at any time. Each share link grants access only to that specific PDF — it does not expose your other documents or your account. PDFs remain accessible via their share links until you delete them from your dashboard. SharePDF is not a private storage service. The Service is available in multiple tiers:

Free: Up to 5 active PDFs, 10 MB max file size
Pro: Up to 50 active PDFs, 50 MB max file size
Max: Unlimited active PDFs, 100 MB max file size

All plans include the ability to:

Generate shareable links for uploaded PDFs
Customize URL slugs for shared documents
Track view counts for shared PDFs
Control download permissions
Manage and organize uploaded documents

Current plan details, limits, and pricing are available on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify plan features and pricing with reasonable notice.

3. Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years of age to use SharePDF. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's consent to use the Service.

4. User Accounts

To use SharePDF, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

Providing accurate and complete registration information
Maintaining the security of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

You may register using email/password or through social login providers (Google, GitHub). One account per person is permitted.

5. Paid Plans & Billing

SharePDF offers paid subscription plans (Pro and Max) in addition to the free tier. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:

Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal: Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly basis. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Payment Processing: All payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Dodo Payments handles billing, invoicing, sales tax, and refunds on our behalf. By making a purchase, you also agree to Dodo Payments' terms of service.
Plan Changes: You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings. Changes are prorated for the remainder of your current billing period.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, after which your account will revert to the Free plan.
Downgrades: If you downgrade to a plan with lower limits and your current usage exceeds the new plan's limits, you will need to remove content to comply with the new plan's restrictions. Existing shared links will continue to work.
Pricing Changes: We may change our pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period.
Refunds: Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use SharePDF only for lawful purposes. You may:

Upload and share PDF documents you own or have rights to distribute
Share links to your documents with others
Download your own uploaded files

7. Prohibited Content & Conduct

You may not use SharePDF to upload, store, or share:

Illegal content or content that promotes illegal activities
Copyrighted material without proper authorization
Malware, viruses, or other harmful code
Pornographic, obscene, or sexually explicit material
Content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination
Personal information of others without their consent
Spam, advertisements, or promotional material
Content that infringes on intellectual property rights

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms and to suspend or terminate accounts engaging in prohibited activities.

8. User Content

Ownership: You retain all ownership rights to the PDF documents you upload. SharePDF does not claim any ownership of your content.

License: By uploading content, you grant SharePDF a limited license to store, process, and serve your content to anyone who accesses its share link. You acknowledge that uploaded PDFs are accessible to anyone with the share link and that SharePDF is not a private storage service.

Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you upload and share. You represent that you have all necessary rights to upload and share such content.

9. Intellectual Property & Copyright

SharePDF respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content hosted on SharePDF infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please contact us with the following information:

A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
The URL or location of the infringing content on SharePDF
Your contact information (name, email, address)
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

We will review valid takedown requests and remove infringing content promptly. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.

10. Service Availability & Warranty Disclaimer

SharePDF is provided on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive for high availability, we do not guarantee:

Uninterrupted access to the Service
That the Service will be error-free
That files will be permanently stored
That the Service will meet your specific requirements

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SHAREPDF AND ITS OPERATORS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We recommend keeping backup copies of your important documents.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SharePDF and its operators shall not be liable for:

Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
Service interruptions or errors

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SharePDF and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination:

Your access to the Service will be revoked
Your uploaded files may be deleted
You may request your data before termination if possible
If you are on a paid plan, no refund will be issued for the remaining billing period unless otherwise required by law

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

14. Privacy

Your use of SharePDF is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Your continued use of SharePDF after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Odisha, India.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
